Tarian ini umumnya dibawakan oleh para penari pria dan wanita didalam menyambut para tamu kehormatan atau tamu penting yang sedang berkunjung ke sana.
Tari daerah papua. Mereka menganggap bahwa tarian fela mandu adalah ciptaan leluhur mereka. Tari awaijale rilejale adalah tari daerah papua lebih tepatnya daerah sentani kabupaten jayapura yang dihuni suku sentani. Papua dulunya dikenal dengan nama irian jaya.
Tari magasa merupakan tarian daerah papua khas suku arfak suku asli yang mendiami pegunungan arfak manokwari. Tarian ini menceritakan tentang keindahan alam danau senatni di kala senja yakni saat warga pulang dari bekerja dengan cara naik perahu. Di sebut juga tari ular merujuk pada barisan para penarinya yang umumnya muda mudi itu memanjang menyerupai ular.
Kembali pada budaya papua ternyata terdapat beberapa tarian tradisional papua yang cukup terkenal beberapa diantaranya sempat ditayangkan di acara. Mereka menganggap bahwa tarian fela mandu adalah ciptaan leluhur mereka. Tari sajojo merupakan salah satu tarian tradisional yang cukup terkenal di papua dan sering ditampilkan di berbagai acara baik adat hiburan maupun acara budaya.
Karena pada tahun 2002 daerah tersebut terbagi menjadi 2 provinsi. Tari sajojo adalah salah satu tarian tradisional yang berasal dari daerah papuatarian ini juga termasuk jenis tarian pergaulan yang bisa ditarikan oleh siapa saja baik pria maupun wanita tua maupun muda. Meski difungsikan sebagai tarian penyambutan magasa memiliki nilai yang mendalam perihal suku arfak yang merayakan.
Tari selamat datang merupakan tarian tradisional sejenis tarian penyambutan yang berasal dari daerah papua. Tari fela mandu adalah sejenis tari perang yang berasal dari puyoh besar puyoh kecil dan abar di daerah sentani tengah papua. Sekarang kita keliling indonesia mencoba mengamati budaya nusantara yang kita cintai.
